Odds and Ends
Song Lyrics
-
Overjoyed by Stevie Wonder
I kind of live by this song. I mean, I am a big day dreamer and his
words, "and through you don't believe that they do/ they do come true/
for did my dreams/come true when I looked at you". When I heard this
song, I had to totally agree with him. Dreams do come true and I
know they will come true for me one day...wishing...hoping..praying...waiting

Blame It On the Sun by Syreeta Wright and music by Stevie Wonder
I never heard this song but when I read the lyrics I began to view it
as a poem. I think it's very cleaver how the the person blames the end
of his or her love on so many things but their heart blames it on them. I
thought was very poetic.

I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever) by Yvonne
Wright and music by Stevie Wonder
I guess as you read on you will see I'm a hopeless romantic dreamer but
when that lovely day comes when I find my knight in shinning amour to
fall in love with, I know it will be forever...

I Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer by Stevie Wonder and Syreeta
Wright
Again, these lyrics are dear to me because I once had a love (let's call
him that for a lack of a better word) who left in summer. I hoped and
prayed my love would come back to me but he never did. I never got up
enough nerve to ask "why didn't you stay?"

If It's Magic by Stevie Wonder
To me love appears to be like magic sometimes. It's something mystical
and mysterious and not many of us understand how it works. Mr. Wonder asks
and important question, "if it's magic/then why can't it be
everlasting" ?

Make Sure You're Sure by Stevie Wonder
You won't believe it but I listened to this song about 25 times in two
days! Sometimes I'm compulsive like that but I loved it so much I had
to listen to it as much as I could. You never can tell how the other
person in your life really feels about you. Like many people say they
love such-n-such but two weeks later the relationship ends or one person
cheats. So before you take it to another you have to make sure you're
sure...

My Eyes Don't Cry by Stevie Wonder
Again, I can relate to this song because of a
past relationship of mine. After a long period of time I spent dwelling, crying,
and longing for this person I stopped. I just came to the point where
I don't cry and my heart doesn't ache over that person.
-
My Melancholy Blues by Freddie Mercury
You have to hear this song to get the full effect but like
many people, I too get melancholy and sit in my loneliness and think
about life and how I feel.
-
Spread Your Wings by John Deacon
I think this song is inspiring. I mean, did you ever feel like leaving?
I think I could relate to this song the most in high school. In high
school many teenagers feel trapped either by their parents or school
officals. Also this is a time to develop who you are and with all the
restraints of "don't do this or that" you start to bug you out. And often you
feel like leaving or flying away to a better place or time. Check it out
I like this song and hopefully you will too.
